Travelpro Crew 9 22in. Expandable Rollaboard Suiter review
Flight crews either swear by their Samsonites or their Travelpro. If you’re like the former, then there’s a high chance that this bag won’t be outstanding enough for you to switch. But that’s ok, because both brands offer great luggage, and we got several great Samsonite luggage reviews.
Now, onto our Travelpro Crew 9 review. Let’s talk about the Travelpro Crew 9 22-inch Expandable Rollaboard Suiter. This new rollaboard is part is the ultimate business collection, Travelpro’s Crew 9 line. Now, although Travelpro’s reputation lies on the premise that flight crews use their bags, flight crews don’t actually use the Crew 9 line, but a different line named Flight Crew 4. So bear in mind that this luggage is most suited for “normal” and business travelers.

Review of Travelpro Carry on Rollaboard
The Travelpro Crew 9 Carry on Rollaboard offers a pretty good design. This luggage is durable and it can easily last for 6-8 years. It comes with tons of features that make it a perfect travel bag. Its appearance is classy and the bag is easy to carry because of its lightness. Its capacity is perfect for a work week worth of clothing, and it’s expandable by 2.5in as well.
It’s constructed well, with a keen attention to details. The rollerblade-like wheels make it easy to roll on carpets for example. The strong attaché holder is another example of this. The interior as well engineered compartments, with parallel tie down straps. It has a suiter system with a padded foam bar that ensures suits arrive wrinkle-free.
The Crew 9 Rollaboard will hold up better than most bags in this price range, although minor design decisions may lead it to wear off after a few years. For instance, the bag uses rubber skid guards, which are not as sturdy as steel wheel supports. Similarly, there are no skid rails on the back, contrary to the photo. Another notable flow is that the stabilizers are too close to the wheels for the bag to reach that elusive perfect balance, although this is a widespread problem with softside rollaboards. The only type of luggage devoid of the tipping-over issue is hardside spinners. There have also been complaints about the telescoping handle blocking at half height, although that stiffness also means that it doesn’t wiggle around.
More than 425,000 flight crews worldwide have chosen Travelpro, a top brand that continues to satisfy the ever-changing needs of today’s travelers. Their collections include Crew5, FlightPro4, Walkabout Lite 2, Rollaboard wheeled luggage, Wall Business Cases. Travelerpro’s reputation is built on design, high quality components as well as innovative features.
For over two decades, Travelpro has prided itself on innovative design to cater to experienced travelers. In our humble opinion, a lot of older Samsonite models have better workmanship than the Crew 9 22” Rollaboard, and other Travelpro models are better made than this one. This Travelpro Rollaboard wheeled luggage will still be a good choice for anyone but the most frequent flyers, as it will not handle abuse very well. What’s more, you’ll be safe to know the product comes with limited lifetime warranty.
